In addition to the Capstone seminar, WFQS majors must have taken TWO units at the 300 level by the time they graduate. WFQS has a required yearlong capstone project in the senior year, which is directed by the faculty teaching the WFQS 303 & WFQS 304 Senior Capstone: Interdisciplinary Research Methods and Writing Seminar . WFQS encourages students who wish to combine theory with praxis. Students interested in pursuing a CEL [Community-Engaged Learning] may, in consultation with their advisor and the Program Director, substitute one of the 2 elective courses for a 1-unit CEL or two .5-unit CELS. WFQS encourages students to pursue study away if they so wish. Depending on the coursework, majors taking a semester elsewhere may count up to 2 elective units towards their major (at the 200 level).
