(Same as WFQS 231) A study of women’s engagement in creating and sustaining musical cultures. Drawing on recent work in feminist musicology and ethnomusicology, this course examines women musicians and their music from many perspectives: vocal and instrumental, historical and current, Western and non-Western, classical and popular.
