Distributional Content Area Units Required

• At least two 200-level courses from different departments or programs
• At least two 300-level courses from different departments or programs
• One course in non-Western, postcolonial, indigenous, or alternative Media Studies practices or issues
• One practice-based course which can be fulfilled by Education Abroad or Community-Engaged Learning, maximum of two.

Students must submit a plan of study, including justification of selected electives. The plan is reviewed and adjusted by the steering committee and overseen by the assigned major advisor.
