two additional 200- or 300-level courses in biology or chemistry, one of which must be a lecture course. The second unit may include only one research course.

Recommendations:

Students are strongly advised to take, in their freshman year, BIOL 105 and BIOL 106 and CHEM 108 /CHEM 109 or CHEM 125 . MATH 121 /MATH 122 or MATH 125 should be taken in either the freshman or sophomore year. Such a program is appropriate for concentration in biology and chemistry in addition to biochemistry.
