A survey of the theory and empirics of economic growth. Topics covered include neoclassical growth models, endogenous growth models, technological progress, the role of institutions in growth and development, and the convergence hypothesis. The Department.

Prerequisite(s): ECON 200 , ECON 201 , ECON 210  and MATH 220 ; or permission of the instructor.

Two 75-minute periods.
