Africana Studies Correlate Sequence

Students undertaking the correlate sequence must complete 6 units.

• AFRS 100 - Introduction to Africana Studies  or AFRS 105 The Self and the Western Other in Modern Arabic Literature  or AFRS 110 Prison Abolition and Black Liberation    
• AFRS 200 Movements and Ideas in Africana Studies  

Four elective units may be selected from the Africana Studies course listings and approved courses in consultation with a major adviser. At least one unit must be at the 300 level.  Language study cannot be counted towards the correlate.
