Required Units


Total number of units required for major, excluding any required Intensive(s): 9 above the 100-level after completion of MATH 121 /MATH 126 /MATH 127  or their equivalent (advanced placement)

Work used to satisfy major requirements may not be taken NRO after declaration of the major. Only one course taken NRO may count toward the major. No work at the 300-level for the major may be taken NRO.

Students choose one of three alternative pathways:

Electives


Three electives depending on the chosen pathway:

  • Mathematics: One at the 200- or 300-level and two at the 300-level
  • Statistics: Three at the 300-level, two of which must be Statistics; students who use MATH 242 Applied Statistical Modeling  to fulfill both the Specific Course Requirement and the Distributional Content Area must take an additional 200- or 300-level elective
  • Applied: One at the 200- or 300-level and two at the 300-level
