BIOL 385 - Applied Biostatistics Semester Offered: Spring 1 unit(s) This course is designed to teach students about the breadth of biological data that exist and the many ways to analyze these data. Preference is given to students that have previously conducted or are concurrently conducting independent research. In addition to learning how to analyze various types of data, a focus is placed on assisting students analyze their own data. Statistical techniques include: linear models (ANOVA, regression, etc.), generalized linear models, mixed-effects models, multivariate analyses (e.g., PCA), and more. Justin Touchon.
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 106 and two 200-level Biology courses.
