PSYC 382 - Seminar: Social Psychology & Individual Differences 1 unit(s) This seminar explores some of the ways in which situational and individual differences variables influence behavior. Using a topical approach, we examine empirical research in individual differences and social psychology in order to arrive at a more coherent understanding of the specific behaviors under consideration. A central goal of the course is to develop your skills in analyzing, building, and testing psychological models of behavior. Potential topics may include self-regulation, approach and avoidance, and stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination.
Prerequisite(s): PSYC 201 or PSYC 222 or PSYC 231 or PSYC 233 or PSYC 253 , a research methods course in Psychological Science, and permission of the instructor.
One 2-hour period.
