MATH 228 - Ordinary Differential Equations and Applications

First- and second-order ordinary differential equations, basic theorems concerning existence and uniqueness of solutions and continuous dependence on parameters, long-term behavior of solutions and approximate solutions. The focus is on connecting the theoretical aspects of differential equations with real-world applications from physics, biology, chemistry, and engineering. The Department.

Prerequisite(s): MATH 125  or MATH 127 , or their equivalent (advanced placement), or permission of the department.
