ENST 372 - Topics in Human Geography Semester Offered: Fall 1 unit(s) Topic 2024/25a: Environmental Governance: A Political Ecological Approach. Examples include community-based and participatory governance, environmental NGO groups, third-party certification, corporate social responsibility goals, and green investment strategies. The course critically evaluates the political economic dynamics and ecological implications of environmental governance structures in North America and beyond, including questions of decolonization, neoliberalism, “green” dispossession, and shifting relations of sovereignty.
