(Same as AMST 355) Topic for 2024/25b: Contemporary Native American Poetry: This course examines contemporary Native North American poets through various lenses, including American Indian Literary Nationalism, Indigenous Transnationalisms, and tribally-specific approaches. Using a Native American Studies framework, the course pays special attention to themes of orality, activism, identity and gender, and decolonization.
