DANC 197 - Introduction to Dancemaking Semester Offered: Fall 0.5 unit(s) This course introduces students to the foundational elements of embodied creation. Students develop skills for creating and structuring choreographic ideas, through movement exercises that focus attention on shape, space, timing and dynamics. Viewing of live and filmed work, and discussion, broaden knowledge of dancemaking strategies. Prior or concurrent participation in a dance technique course is recommended. Miriam Mahdaviani.
