MATH 215 - Introduction to Mathematical Modeling

Mathematical modeling, including discrete dynamical systems, linear models, optimization, model fitting, and elementary stochastic processes, are examined through a series of case studies. Applications to biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, and economics are explored. Programming in MATLAB is used. No prior programming experience is needed. The Department.

Prerequisite(s): MATH 126  and MATH 127 , or permission of the department.

Three 50-minute periods.
