This six-week course focuses on Topical Applications of Psychological Science.

Topic for 2023/24a: Psychology and Law. Why would people confess to crimes they didn’t commit? What makes an eyewitness identify the wrong suspect?  How do emotions influence jurors? This course considers these and other questions as we discuss how psychological science tries to understand and explain events in the courtroom and other legal settings. This course provides an overview of six topics related to psychology and law. Jannay Morrow.

Prerequisite(s): Any Vassar College Psychological Science course.

First six-week course.
