(Same as INTL 272 ) Violence has been an integral part of the making of landscapes, places, and the world political map. In doing so, it analyzes how violence becomes embedded in geographical space and informs social relations. The course draws upon various case studies, including incidents of mass violence in  Cambodia, Indonesia, Mexico, Rwanda and the United States. Joseph Nevins.
