ECON 300 - Senior Reseach Semester Offered: Fall 1 unit(s) This class is designed to prepare students for independent economic research. The final project for the class is a detailed proposal for a senior thesis, including a full description of a theoretical model, econometric project and/or completed experimental design. Topics include hypothesis generation, literature review, research design, data collection, causal inference, econometric analysis, making tables, and research paper design. Required of all students who wish to write a thesis in economics but open to senior economics majors who wish to learn research methods. Students may continue with ECON 301 upon completion of ECON 300 with the approval of an advisor and the department. The Department.
Prerequisite(s): ECON 200 or ECON 201 and ECON 203 .
Open to senior majors by special permission of the advisor.
