DRAM 206 - Movement for Actors Semester Offered: Fall and Spring 1 unit(s) This course offers physical training in stage movement for actors. Focus is placed on functional alignment, breath initiation, movement sequencing, spatial awareness, effort qualities, and rhythmic dynamics. Exploration of movement will be both vigorous and athletic, as well as more theatrical and gestural. Through elements of Laban Movement Analysis, as well as yoga, improvisation, and vernacular movement, students discover pathways to create a richly physical development of character. Lisa Harvie.
