BIOL 238 - Molecular Genetics Semester Offered: Fall and Spring 1 unit(s) Principles of genetics and methods of genetic analysis at the molecular, cellular, and organismal levels. Emphasis is placed on classical genetic experiments, as well as modern investigative techniques such as recombinant DNA technology, gene therapy, genetic testing, and the use of transgenic plants and animals. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 108 .
Students can take only one of BIOL 238, BIOL 244 or BIOL 248 .
Three 50-minute periods; one 4-hour laboratory.
