ITAL 109 - Advanced Elementary Italian

The course is designed for students who have studied some Italian in high school or through other sources, but are not yet ready for Intermediate Italian. Building on existing skills, daily practice helps students further develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing abilities. By the end of the course students are able to have simple conversations and deliver presentations on everyday topics. They can read and write short essays, and they are familiar with relevant cultural practices and phenomena associated with Italy and Italian speakers. Alberto Gelmi.

Prerequisite(s): Open to students who have had previous exposure to Italian. Placement test required.
