POLI 207 - Political Analysis Semester Offered: Spring 1 unit(s) This course emphasizes techniques for testing political science hypotheses via statistical analysis of quantitative data. The great majority of time is spent dealing with two major areas: 1) how empirical data are collected through survey research and other methods, and 2) how these data are then analyzed so as to confirm or disconfirm hypotheses about political thinking and behavior. Students learn how to use the SPSS statistical software package in order to perform their analyses. Richard Born.
