BIOL 316 - Seminar in Neurobiology

A multi-level examination of nervous systems, this course is an advanced and integrative evaluation of current topics in neurobiology. Topics vary but may include glia, evolution of nervous systems, neuroimmune interactions, mechanisms of neural communication and plasticity. Emphasis is placed on current thinking and research and course material is drawn from the recent neurobiological literature.

Prerequisite(s): Two units of 200-level Biology or one unit of 200-level Biology and one of the following: PSYC 241 , PSYC 229 , PSYC 249 .

Recommended: BIOL 217  or BIOL 228 .

Two 75-minute periods.

Not offered in 2022/23.
