ECON 203 - Introduction to Econometrics

An introduction to statistical analysis with emphasis on estimation and hypothesis testing and to the methods required for empirical economic research in industry, government, and academia. Topics covered include simple and multiple regression, violations of the classical assumptions underlying the least-squares model, maximum likelihood estimation, instrumental variables, and time series analysis. Prerequisite(s): ECON 102  and MATH 241 .
