CHEM 375 - Aquatic Chemistry 1 unit(s) (Same as ENST 375 ) This course is a qualitative and quantitative treatment of chemical processes in aqueous environments. Geochemical cycles of major and trace elements are explored including the magnitude of anthropogenic perturbations. General topics include thermodynamics and kinetics, acid-base chemistry, oxidation reduction reactions, the chemistry of continental waters, and marine chemistry. Alison Keimowitz.
Prerequisite(s): CHEM 125 , CHEM 244 ; PHYS 113 , PHYS 114 ; MATH 121 , MATH 126 and MATH 127 or the equivalent; or permission of the instructor.
Two 75-minute periods.
