1 unit(s)
An examination of plant physiological ecology through the lens of climate change. This course considers the specific effects of global temperature change and changes in atmospheric composition on organisms and ecosystems. We use primary literature to understand how the different aspects of climate variability affect plant physiology, including photosynthesis, plant water relations, reproduction and morphology. Class discussions focus on the application of ecological knowledge to evaluate the interactions between biology and society.

Prerequisite(s): Two units of any 200-level science (including ENST and STS) or permission of the instructor.
