CHEM 350 - Thermodynamics and Chemical Kinetics Semester Offered: Spring 1 unit(s) This course presents the fundamental concepts of thermodynamics and kinetics. Topics include equations of state for gases; statistical mechanics; the laws of thermodynamics; solutions and phase equilibria; chemical equilibrium and chemical kinetics. Zachary Donhauser.
Prerequisite(s): CHEM 125 . It is strongly recommended that students have a foundational understanding of single variable calculus, classical mechanics, and electromagnetism. Basic knowledge of multivariable calculus is also recommended.
Two 75-minute periods.
