Geochemical cycles of major and trace elements through these reservoirs are explored including the magnitude of anthropogenic perturbations. General topics include isotope geochemistry, equilibrium thermodynamics, solubility and precipitation, acid-base equilibria, oxidation-reduction chemistry, and remediation of organic and inorganic pollution. Alison Keimowitz.
Prerequisite(s): CHEM 245 ; PHYS 113 , PHYS 114 ; MATH 121 , MATH 126 and MATH 127 or the equivalent; or permission of the instructor.
