ANTH 100 - Archaeology Semester Offered: Fall 1 unit(s) Archaeologists use the material remains of past peoples and places to tell new stories of the past, present, and future. This course covers the basic methods and theories of American archaeology to show how that work is done. Then we survey the contributions that archaeologists are making to the social issues of our time such as sustainable cities, poverty and homelessness, and warfare and identity. Every social issue of today has historical roots, and earlier cases that can be examined through material remains. April Beisaw.
Two 75-minute periods.
