Topic for 2018/19a: Machine Learning. This course provides a broad introduction to the field of machine learning and recent developments in deep learning. It covers both supervised and unsupervised learning techniques. The course discusses recent applications of machine learning to natural language processing, speech recognition, bioinformatics and data mining. Students select a learning task (or formulate one themselves) and then implement and critically evaluate a machine learning prototype using the latest learning libraries and frameworks.
