CLCS 383 - Reimagining the Refugee Crisis Semester Offered: Fall and Spring 0.5 unit(s) We meet once a week for 3-hour workshops and/or strategy sessions to explore readings dealing with advocacy work, best practices in transcultural interactions, and new pedagogical models to connect Vassar students and refugee youth abroad. Working as team, we build on the lessons learned by Vassar students who spent time in Germany last summer working with NGOS and a variety of educational institutions dealing with refugee issues. We also work closely with Bard Berlin and students from our Consortium (Vassar, Bard, Sarah Lawrence and Bennington) who are engaged in refugee work during their JYA year abroad. Maria Höhn.
